NCSU's Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Interest Group (BMIG) is hosting an upcoming seminar with Asif Ansari, Ph.D., Technical Portfolio Lead - Vaccines in the Global Technology and Engineering Group, Pfizer's Global Supply Organization.  

Dr. Asif Ansari, has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry – leading multifunctional and global teams in developing product lifecycle strategies and providing technical and regulatory support for full-scale commercial and clinical biologics manufacturing. Dr. Ansari supported Pfizer’s COVID vaccine project and has held various site and global positions of increasing responsibility at Pfizer. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue and his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University.

In bringing the COVID vaccine to market in response to the global pandemic, Dr. Ansari's presentation will focus on some of the advantages of an mRNA approach, overall program timelines and key milestones, overcoming process and supply challenges and key learnings.
