Event Description:
Interested in an SBIR/STTR Grant from the US Small Business Administration? First Flight Venture Center (FFVC) has been selected to host the SBA Road Tour to North Carolina on June 22. This Road Tour stop will bring approximately 20 agency Program Managers to present their funding priorities/opportunities, lessons learned and common mistakes. Entrepreneurs/business owners can meet one-on-one with Program Managers to discuss specific SBIR or STTR grants.
The SBIR Road Tour is a national outreach effort to convey the non-dilutive technology funding opportunity provided through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Federal and State Program Managers representing the $2.5 billion in early stage funding have been invited to attend a series of events alongside technology entrepreneurs and innovation supporters from across the United States.
This is the ONLY stop in North Carolina for the Road Tour and as a multiple recipient of SBIR loans, First Flight is proud to host this important gathering in partnership with Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC), LaunchBio, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, NC IDEA, the Council for Entrepreneurial Development and the NC Biosciences Organization (NCBIO).
As an added bonus, on June 21, SBTDC is offering a content-packed Grant Writing "how-to" workshop on commercialization, proposal development and review process and advice from SBIR winners.
