presented by Bryant M. Moore, PhD Director of Strategic Partnerships, UNC Office of Technology Commercialization

Bryant Moore is Director, Strategic Partnerships in the UNC-Chapel Hill Office of Technology Commercialization.  He joined the office in 2015 after a successful career of more than 30 years in the medical device industry.  His background includes experience in the clinical diagnostics, endoscopy and sports medicine, cardiology and ophthalmology business segments. Most recently, he was Global Head, Refractive R&D for Abbott Medical Optics, a Division of Abbott Laboratories. Prior to Abbott, he worked as a Vice President in R&D for Medtronic for 10 years in their Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management Business. Prior to Medtronic, he worked 3 years as Worldwide Vice President of Research and Development and management board member for Smith and Nephew Endoscopy. He was also a member of the Senior Technical Group for Corporate Smith and Nephew. Before Smith and Nephew, he worked 10 years for Johnson and Johnson, where he held several key leadership positions within their clinical diagnostics business including Vice President and management board member for Ortho Diagnostic Systems and Vice President Assay R&D for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. Prior to Johnson and Johnson, Bryant worked as Manager of Hemostasis for Organon Teknika, a division of Akzo Nobel. Bryant began his career as a scientist at the DuPont Company. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry at North Carolina A&T State University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
