Consumer Medicine-Democratizing Health Care Decisions presented by Simon P. Selwood MSc, PhD, Director of Business Development, SoBran BioScience

Dr. Simon P. Selwood received his PhD in 1999 from the Dept. of Clinical Neuroscience, Newcastle Upon Tyne University, England. He spent four years investigating Alzheimer’s disease and genetics and was fortunate to win a Medical School Dean’s Fellowship Award. The Silicon Valley science and technology boom of the early 2000’s prompted Simon to transition to a business role working for start-ups and mid-sized biotechs. He moved to Maryland in 2011 with his family after starting a consulting company called BDBioPharma.  He joined SoBranBioScience in 2012 where he presently works as Director of Business. He is on the board of directors for the Piedmont arm of NCBC, Maryland Tech Council board of directors, and has personally invested in a local Winston Salem start-up.
