ACS CAN will hold its ninth annual Research Breakfast on October 9, 2018. The event will focus on the barriers to cancer clinical trials enrollment and efforts to overcome them.  The Directors of North Carolina’s three NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers (UNC Lineberger, DCI, and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Comprehensive Cancer Center), along with industry leaders  from PRA Health Sciences and NC State Rep. Greg Murphy, MD, will address the barriers and challenges of clinical trials and address promising practices and the importance of clinical trials as an integral part of the healthcare system. The fireside chat between an UNC Lineberger researcher/clinician and his/her patient will translate the panel discussion to provide the human element of the patient experience and the value of clinical trials.
